I salute everyone in Yei Teacher Training College, especially those who took and sacrificed their time to put up the plan to see that the college is existing at the very best level of training primary teachers all over the ten states of South Sudan as well as teachers from the bordering countries like Sudan, Congo, Uganda and so forth. They have set a history because “HISTORY IS MADE AND NEVER BOUGHT".

South Sudan being the youngest nation in the world needs education to equip herself with, to fight illiteracy, ignorance, corruption, greed, jealousy, hatred, discrimination and tribalism in order to prepare a better home for mankind and the future generation.

I therefore request the County authorities and the communities around that for the college to grow and expand, for the betterment of the country; it needs a wide area of land. The local authorities and the communities around should therefore be willing to give the college room to expand by releasing the land needed for expansion. The students also need to take good care of the property of the college because they are for everyone who studies in YTTC.

Together we can build a better Yei Teacher Training College for all the inhabitants of South Sudan and the world.
