Head of Department Special Needs.
Abanzi joined YTTC in 2008 as Head of Department for Professional Education Studies, tutor and college Parade Master. He is also the head of scouts and guides.
With 16 years experience of teaching in a number of primary schools, Abanzi's qualifications include a Diploma in Special Needs Education and a Diploma in Bible Correspondence. He also holds certificates in a variety of capacities including Guidance and Counseling, Participatory Integrated Community Development, Public Health and Sanitation.
Abanzi desires to pass on his teaching skills to the students here, in particular Special Needs Education and feels relieved that there are trainees joining YTTC staff in their fight against illiteracy in South Sudan. Abanzi can use sign language.
He is married with four children; three boys and one girl, Abanzi enjoys community sensitization/mobilisation, music, dance and drama, composing songs, playing musical instruments, craftwork, church service, teaching/training, voluntary services, translation/interpreting, giving people guidance and counseling, photography and tourism.
ICT Officer & Tutor.
In March 2012, Muwanga joined the YTTC team as an Information Technology officer and tutor. He is a self-driven person with a wide range of knowledge and experience in electrical and computer related work.
Muwanga has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from Busitema University and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Uganda Technical College Kichwamba. He has experience as an assistant lecturer at Uganda Technical College Kichwamba and has served in a voluntary capacity as an electrician at ACROSS, Yei.
In addition, Muwanga has attained skills through various trainings such as Community Integrated Development Initiatives (CIDI), Crime Prevention and Community Policing, Anti-Corruption and Leadership Concepts training. During these studies he was involved in extra co–curricular activities such as serving in the Busitema University Electoral commission 2010 / 2011 as the Returning Officer, serving as the Pioneer Guild Speaker in the Busitema University Guild Representative and in various leadership positions during his primary and high school years.
